Hershey Kisses Roses

I made these "roses" using Hershey Kisses in this easy DIY project for Valentine's Day! All of the items (except for Hershey Kisses) I got from the dollar store. And the floral tape and plant stakes I got from Michael's.

Here's what you need:

- Bag of Hershey Kisses (preferably the ones with colored or printed foil)
- Floral Tape
- Green Plant Stakes (or skewer sticks)
- Double sided tape (or glue dots..or tape)
- Clear or colored cellophane wrap
- Scissors
- a vase (optional)
- ribbon (optional
- fake leaves (optional)

Directions:

1. First start by taping the two Hershey Kisses together from the bottom. I use double sided tape because it is the easiest way for me to do this.

2. Next, take the plant stake (or skewer stick) and insert it into one end of the Hershey Kisses.

3. Then cut the clear cellophane wrap about 5x4 inches and wrap the "rose". Use floral tape to keep the wrap on around the rose. As you are wrapping the floral tape around the stick, you can add fake leaves if you wish.

4. Repeat until you have as many roses as you wish. When finished, you can either tie a few into a bouquet, or stick them into a vase. I let my kids decorate the outside with stickers and filled the inside with decorative shredded paper (dollar store).

Here are some pictures of the materials I used to make this:
