I am a full time working mom of 2 young children. Having 2 kids, I am very conscience of how I spend my money. I like to get the most out of my dollar and I've managed to do so by couponing and smart shopping.
I started couponing around October of 2009. I accidentally stumbled across a video of a lady shopping in CVS and the caption under the video read "How to get free stuff at CVS". That video led me to the website Deal Seeking Mom.
From there, I tried out some scenarios that was posted for Rite Aid and one day I went to give it a shot. I came home with a bunch of stuff for free and/or cheap and I said to myself "Wow, that was awesome!" And so my couponing days began.
Since then I've saved hundreds of dollars - from baby items, groceries, household products, and toiletries, clothes, etc.
Toiletries include things such as razors, feminine products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and the list goes on and on. For these items I've always paid little to nothing - sounds crazy right?
As for baby items such as diapers and clothes, I never pay full price...Unless I absolutely need or want it. I usually have coupons and wait for the deals to come. I had such a huge stockpile of diapers for my first child that I did not have to buy diapers for a full year - a full year! Can you imagine that?
Anyway, here are 2 sites that I've been following since about 2010:
